  About the establishment
The A&O HOSTEL am Zoo is located in the former centre of West-Berlin near to the famous Kurfürstendamm (Ku’Damm), and in the heart of the cultural centre of the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district, known for its culinary variety and nightlife. Theatres, cinemas and restaurants and bars dot this area and are all within walking distance. For those shopaholics, you need look no further than the immediate area at the Kaufhaus des Westens. The Zoologischer Garten Berlin, Germany´s oldest zoo and one with the most species in the world- more than 14000 animals can be seen there and in the adjacent aquarium live plenty of spectacular fishes, reptiles, and amphibians. The hostel offers 113 rooms with private facilities. You can choose between single and twin rooms, as well as multi-bedded rooms with 4, 6 or 8 beds, all of them with private WC and shower. Conference rooms and equipment is also available on request. This Lonely Planet recommended hostel is one of few in West Berlin. Rooms are bright, with neat laminate flooring, metal-frame beds and large lockable cabinets. Fill up at the breakfast buffet or grab a bag lunch available any time for 2 €. There are 2 Bars at this hostel. The Lobby Bar at A&O HOSTEL am ZOO is open daily from 9 am. There you can also find a piano, TV, games and billiard. The "Train Spot" Bar at A&O HOSTEL am ZOO is open daily from 6 pm. Access from second floor or direct access over the roof terrace. Centrally located, international, clean and friendly atmosphere!!
